Swooned by Wounds

If you've read through any of my blogs, you know that my day to day varies.  Sometimes, I'm busy seeing Primary Care patients at Premier's premiere location in Westlake.  Other times, I'm visiting with patients at the hospital...

However, most Tuesdays, I make time for wound care.  Wound care isn't new to me.  It's a huge passion of mine.  I've actually been involved in it for eight years!  I've been recognized by the American Board of Wound Management as a Certified Wound Specialist.  I spend my Tuesdays at various facilities diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic wounds [ Including pressure wounds, bedsores, vascular wounds, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and even rashes ].  I've become an expert in debridement, compression, negative pressure wound therapy, along with the most current treatments available.  In addition, I coordinate care for my patients through appropriate referrals to specialists, nutritional assessments and the manangement of medical devices that accelerate recovery.

This is a labor of love for me.  I enjoy recovery as much as I enjoy coffee.  Wound care certainly isn't for everybody, but I can assure you it'll be a part of my future as I continue to garner accreditation in this field.
